We are currently looking for a Part-Time Lead Electrical Systems Engineer (Building Services) with a minimum of 8 years' experience in the construction sector to become a vital part of our enthusiastic team.

This position encompasses extensive building services design, including:

  • Power distribution
  • Lighting systems
  • Security solutions
  • Access control mechanisms
  • Fire safety systems
  • Cable sizing

This role is suitable for individuals with transferable skills, including expertise in:

  • Design engineering
  • Building services engineering
  • Electrical engineering
  • Lighting design
  • Cable calculations
  • Amtech calculations
  • Electrical power design
  • CCTV and fire alarm design
  • Security design

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering designs, calculations, and drawings for various projects while ensuring collaboration with mechanical designers and other specialists
  • Developing designs from initial concepts to detailed specifications, including site assessments for refurbishment projects
  • Conducting inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance evaluations
  • Managing projects and leading team members
  • Conducting M&E equipment surveys
  • Producing detailed design calculations
  • Creating drawings using AutoCAD and Revit
  • Interpreting and assisting with Building Regulations Part L, BREEAM, and SAP calculations
  • Participating in design team meetings
  • Overseeing and inspecting installation work

Qualifications:

  • At least 8 years of diverse experience across retail, commercial, and residential projects
  • Flexible, articulate, and well-presented
  • Proficient in Amtech, AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office
  • Full UK driving license
