Teaching Personnel SEN Teacher Opportunity

We are excited to offer a challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced SEN Teacher to join our team at a high-performing school in High Wycombe. The school provides a full-time alternative education provision to students with challenging behavior, at risk of permanent exclusion, and those with SEND.

About the Role

The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery and development of the curriculum, having regard to the educational, physical, and social needs of the students within a learning environment. Key duties include:

  • Monitoring, assessing, reviewing, and reporting on student progress to parents, team members, senior staff, examination, and funding bodies.
  • Maintaining knowledge through training and research, taking responsibility for own professional development.
  • Developing lesson plans, analyzing, and self-reflecting on outcomes.
  • Contributing to the review of Statements and EHC plans, PEP, and LAC reviews.
About You

We are looking for a qualified SEN Teacher with:

  • Core Teaching Qualifications: QTS/QTLS or willingness to work towards it.
  • Academic Background: Degree in a relevant teaching subject, equivalent for SEN.
  • Special Education and SEN Expertise: SENCO Advanced Certificate or Patoss AAA Course Completion (desirable).
  • Teaching Subjects: English, Maths, and Science Proficiency, a minimum of grade 4/C or higher.
