Job Title: Apprentice Commercial Quantity Surveyor

About the Company: A.D.S Construction Personnel Ltd is a leading provider of construction personnel services, specializing in joinery, carpentry, and structural timber frames.

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a Trainee Quantity Surveyor, you will assist in managing project costs, agreeing costs with sub-contractors, and preparing valuations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing and managing project budgets and forecasts
  • Agree costs with sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Prepare and submit valuations and payment claims
  • Attend meetings with main contractors and sub-contractors
  • Ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
  • Raise purchase orders and manage inventory
  • Ensure final account payments are received in accordance with the contract
  • Attend monthly commercial meetings to discuss project progress and costs

Requirements:

  • Currently in education in Quantity Surveying or a similar degree
  • Experience in the construction industry is an advantage but not essential
