We are seeking an exceptional Fire Safety Manager to join our innovative Division of Infrastructure and play a pivotal role in safeguarding our healthcare facilities.

As a Fire Safety Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and leading a fire safety management system across the organisation, building key working relationships internally and externally.

You will lead on how the organisation meets its statutory obligations in respect of fire safety, advising the relevant Committees of the effects of new or amended legislation and on the effectiveness of compliance.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Developing and implementing a comprehensive Fire Strategy, including supporting policy, protocols, and procedures for all Trust sites.
  2. Conducting fire safety audits and fire risk assessments, compiling standardised professional management reports.
  3. Minimising the risk of fire occurring by establishing and maintaining safe fire procedures within a complex healthcare environment.
  4. Organising fire drills and monitoring their effectiveness.
  5. Managing specialist investigations of all fire incidents, producing appropriate reports.
  6. Maintaining comprehensive records of all fire incidents and investigations.
  7. Managing and supervising the adequate provision, siting and maintenance of firefighting equipment, life safety systems.
  8. Monitoring adherence to the Trust's Fire Policy.
  9. Preparing and delivering a programme of fire lectures to all staff.
  10. Producing, reviewing, and updating comprehensive fire risk assessments for all Trust properties.
