About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Compliance Specialist to join a well-respected team. Our client is recognized in their field, providing expertise in areas such as fall protection systems, electrical assessments, building access solutions, fire safety, and water management. Your Responsibilities
As an Electrical Compliance Specialist, you will be tasked with performing electrical installation condition assessments (EICRs) across various commercial and industrial environments. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems, adherence to safety protocols, and the capability to identify and report any potential hazards encountered.
Additionally, your duties will include:
  • Evaluating and testing electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, switchgear, and control mechanisms
  • Documenting defects, non-compliance issues, and safety risks
  • Providing detailed reports on the condition of electrical installations, along with recommendations for corrective actions
  • Ensuring all inspections comply with applicable standards and regulations, including BS 7671 and IET Wiring Regulations
  • Maintaining and calibrating inspection tools and equipment as necessary
  • Engaging in continuous training and professional development to enhance technical expertise
Ideal Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will have a solid background (3 years or more) in Electrical Engineering, strong problem-solving abilities, meticulous attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset. A dedication to quality and a proactive approach to challenges are crucial for success in this position. Furthermore, you should possess:
  • City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Inspection and Testing
  • NVQ Level 3
  • 18th Edition certification
  • Thorough knowledge of BS 7671, IET Wiring Regulations, and other relevant standards
  • Strong familiarity with electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings
  • Proficiency in using electrical testing instruments and reporting software
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage time efficiently
  • A valid UK driving licence
