Job Summary:

Raytheon UK is seeking a skilled Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join their Advanced Products Business Area. This role will report to the Quality Engineer Team Lead and work closely with the Raytheon Software Engineering Department.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, objectives, and contracts for Software (and/or Firmware) Quality Management System processes and process control documentation.
  • Develop and review Software Quality Plans and reports.
  • Conduct internal software quality audits, accurately recording and monitoring non-conformances with RCCA.
  • Manage Software Certification Requirements within software development and production test environments.
  • Verify and validate the software development lifecycle, conducting quality reviews at requirements, design, code, and test phases.
  • Review Software Design Documents, requirements analysis, and Software Requirements Specifications (SRSs).
  • Control and monitor bought-in software and its implications.
  • Approve software tool evaluations.
  • Provide quality support for program reviews and management reviews.
  • Assist business leads with customer liaison on external customer software audits or meetings.
Essential Skills:

  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance, Internal Auditing, and RCCA methodologies and practices.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience working within a Quality Assurance team supporting one or more programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a flexible and positive attitude.
Desirable:

  • Software Configuration Management, FCA/PCA.
  • Experience with Git, GitHub, Bit Bucket.
  • Knowledge of DAOS, DEF CON, RESA, AQAPs.
  • A passion for automation.
  • Knowledge and experience of software standards.
  • Knowledge of software coding and testing using C+, C++, JIRA.
