About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Disability Assessor to join our team at PFAS. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in assessing the functional abilities of individuals applying for the Personal Independence Payment (PIP) benefit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and examinations via telephone, video call, or face-to-face interviews to understand the challenges faced by claimants.
  • Assess how a claimant's disability/condition/illness impacts their functional ability on daily activities in a respectful, non-biased, and reassuring manner.
  • Provide positive experiences for claimants and colleagues, meeting quality and productivity targets.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as a qualified healthcare professional.
  • An ability to demonstrate a broad clinical knowledge.
  • Previous experience in using computer software, including Microsoft Office.
Essential Qualifications
  • Nurses: Qualified Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD only) and Member of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN).
  • Physios/OTs: Qualified Chartered Physiotherapist or Qualified Occupational Therapist, Member of the UK Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC), and Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) or College of OT's (COT).
  • Paramedics: BSc or Qualified Paramedic and Member of the UK Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
