About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team at LMP Group. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting Students
    • Supervise and provide individual support to students, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
    • Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans and Personal Care programs.
    • Establish constructive relationships with students and interact with them according to individual needs.
    • Promote inclusion and acceptance of all students.
  • Supporting Teachers
    • Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly, and supportive learning environment, assisting with lesson plans and the display of student work.
    • Be a team member managing a consistent approach when working with students with challenging behaviors.
    • Use strategies, in liaison with the teacher, to support students to achieve learning goals.
  • Supporting the Curriculum
    • Undertake structured and agreed learning activities/teaching programs, adjusting activities according to student responses.
    • Support the use of technology in learning activities and develop students' competence and independence in its use.
Requirements
  • GCSE or equivalent (Functional skills) English (Grade 4) essential
  • GCSE or equivalent (Functional skills) Maths (Grade 4) essential
Training and Development

We will provide Level 3 Teaching Assistant apprenticeship standard training, which includes:

  • Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English (if required)
  • End-Point Assessment (EPA)

This training program focuses on developing classroom delivery and work within schools.
