About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Linux System Administrator to join our team at Prism Digital. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-performance, scalable, and secure server hosting solutions for our mission-critical SaaS applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cage, rack, and server layouts to ensure efficient use of space, power, and cooling resources.
  • Collaborate with engineering and architecting teams to design solutions that maximize performance, efficiency, and operability of hosted solutions.
  • Support all areas of hosted services, including participation on a 24x7 on-call rota.
  • Deploy and manage Linux systems, including RHEL, and ensure the ongoing provision of space, power, and cooling resources.
  • Manage and troubleshoot server hardware, including Cisco UCS Blades and physical servers.
  • Deploy and manage networking equipment, including Cisco Nexus 7000/9000, ASA Firewalls, and DNS load balancers.
  • Deploy and manage VMware 6 environments, including 100s of virtual servers.
  • Lead the deployment of new applications and changes, ensuring all service components are well documented and monitored.
  • Provide technical support for all areas of hosted services, including participation on a 24x7 on-call rota.
  • Lead in the provisioning and deployment of server, network, and other hosting-related equipment.
Requirements
  • Experience working with 'live' production environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Linux systems, including RHEL.
  • Experience with server hardware, including Cisco UCS Blades and physical servers.
  • Experience with networking equipment, including Cisco Nexus 7000/9000, ASA Firewalls, and DNS load balancers.
  • Experience with VMware 6 environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
