About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team at Dive in Jobs. As a key member of our Elements Engine team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing networking features for our game projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Design and Implementation: Create technical designs for and implement features of the Elements Engine focusing on networking functionality.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with team members from other disciplines to define and implement features.
  • Mentorship: Mentor more junior members of the team to support their development.
  • Knowledge Expansion: Continue to expand knowledge across all areas of development to support the current project and propose ideas for future projects.
Requirements
  • Experience: At least 6 years' experience as a Software Developer/Engineer in the Games Industry.
  • Technical Expertise: Technical expertise in network programming for games – you will be experienced in implementing the synchronization and optimization of real-time game data.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Multi-Platform Experience: Experience working with multi-platform titles.
  • Platform SDKs: Experience working directly with platform SDKs.
  • Console Experience: Released titles on consoles.
  • Senior Experience: At least 2 years' experience as a Senior Software Developer/Engineer in the Games Industry.
  • Efficient Coding: Experience writing memory and processor efficient code for current hardware architectures.
  • Azure Playfab: Experience of Microsoft Azure Playfab.
Eligibility
  • Right to Work: Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom.
  • Onsite Work: Must be willing to work onsite in Dundee or East Linton, Scotland.
