Job Title: Site Chemist / Chemistry Graduate - Hazardous Waste

We are seeking an experienced Site Chemist or a Chemistry Graduate to join our team at a leading waste management company. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a career in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for unloading and testing incoming materials for pH, flammability, and compatibility for bulking. Additionally, they will ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Unloading and testing incoming materials for pH, flammability, and compatibility for bulking
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies
  • Working in a hazardous waste management processing yard
  • Operating a forklift (training given)
Requirements:

We are looking for a motivated and hands-on individual who enjoys working outdoors. The ideal candidate will have a HNC or above in a relevant field or a Chemistry or Biochemistry Graduate looking for their first role. Any forklift experience or yard or warehouse experience is a plus, but full training will be given.

A driving licence is essential due to the location. The successful candidate will demonstrate a willingness to work outside and may have interests that demonstrate this, such as playing outdoor sports or being an outdoor enthusiast.

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of up to £33,000 for experienced candidates and £24,000 for graduates. We also offer full training and development opportunities to help you succeed in your career.
