Prospectus is delighted to be supporting our client, a leading charity, to recruit for a Development Manager (Trusts and Foundations). The organisation is a national treasure, situated in a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with a rich 600-year history.
The charity holds a central place within the local community, providing opportunities for diverse audiences to share its significance. The support received from supporters and visitors is invaluable, ensuring the organisation remains in the best possible condition.
The postholder will be responsible for driving the growth of Trusts and Foundations income, with a particular focus on unrestricted income and major projects. You will work closely with the Head of Development to define funding opportunities and articulate a bespoke case for support.
This is a full-time, permanent role paying a salary of £38,000 to £43,000 per annum. The role is based in the charity's offices in Greenwich, London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the growth of Trusts and Foundations income, with a focus on unrestricted income and major projects.
- Work closely with the Head of Development to define funding opportunities and articulate a bespoke case for support.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including trusts, foundations, and major donors.
- Identify and pursue new funding opportunities, including research and prospecting.
- Collaborate with the fundraising team to develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in trust and foundation fundraising, with a track record of success.
- Strong relationships with trusts, foundations, and major donors.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
