Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Teacher to join our team as a General Cover Teacher. As a General Cover Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching a range of subjects to students in secondary schools across Wrexham.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach a range of subjects to students in secondary schools
  • Develop and deliver lesson plans to meet the needs of students
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback
  • Work collaboratively with other teachers and support staff to achieve educational goals
  • Provide cover for absent teachers and ensure continuity of learning

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • PGCE or similar qualification
  • Degree in any subject
  • Experience in teaching in secondary schools
  • Welsh speaking desirable
  • Good classroom management skills
  • Ability to cover curriculum subjects with set planning materials

Additional Requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Reside in the UK
  • References confirming suitability for role
  • Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willing to apply
  • EWC registration or willing to apply
  • Safeguarding training or willing to take a free course with us
