We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Operations Manager to lead our dynamic Erith operating region, covering six sites with approximately 3,000 Customer Service Team Members (van drivers) and managing a fleet of around 1,500 vehicles.

About You

We are looking for an experienced leader with a proven track record in managing large-scale operations. To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in Managing High-Volume Delivery Operations: Proven experience in managing high-volume delivery operations with large fleets and large headcounts in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong Commercial Background: A strong commercial background, ideally with multi-retailer exposure, with a deep understanding of the logistics and delivery industry.
  • Proven Experience in Improving Customer and Employee Experiences: Demonstrated success in improving customer and employee experiences while driving operational metrics, with a focus on delivering exceptional results.
  • Stakeholder Management and Team Development: Proven experience in stakeholder management, team development, and performance management, with a focus on building strong relationships and driving high performance.
  • Ability to Handle Complexity: Ability to handle the complexity of shift work and on-call requirements, with a focus on delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills and a track record of improving KPIs through strategic thinking, with a focus on driving operational excellence.
  • Fleet Management and Logistics Knowledge: Knowledge of fleet management, distribution logistics, and operational compliance, with a focus on ensuring the efficient use of company resources.
  • Proven Track Record of Self-Development: Proven track record of self-development, with a focus on continuous learning and improvement.
