Inside Avenue Recruitment is seeking an experienced Civils Estimator to join our client's team in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire.

**Job Summary:**

We are looking for a skilled Estimator to work on HV & EHV civil & cable installations up to 132kV in the public highway. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing detailed pricing and estimates from client scope and specifications.

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Review tender documents and develop bid strategies with colleagues
* Identify and anticipate potential risks
* Liaise with street works department to obtain Gazetteer information and Local Authority restrictions
* Prepare bespoke cost models from first principles for estimating, budgeting, and forecasting
* Tender submissions, including preparing, negotiating, and analyzing costs
* Final bid review and sign off with Divisional Director/Senior Managers
* Pre and post tender commercial activities

**Requirements:**

* Degree or HNC in estimating or equivalent
* Competent in use of MS Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, and Office Outlook
* Previous experience in the Utilities Sector
* Good knowledge of civil engineering in particular utility contracting
