Job Title: General Foreman
Job Summary:
Girling Jones Ltd is seeking an experienced General Foreman to join our team. As a General Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tool box talks and site inductions to ensure that all site personnel are aware of their responsibilities and the company's expectations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of site activities, including daily reports, risk assessments, and quality inspections.
- Conduct regular risk and hazard assessments to identify potential hazards and implement controls to mitigate them.
- Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures, and that quality standards are met.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of site personnel, including laborers, tradespeople, and other support staff.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as estimating and procurement, to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Requirements:
- Experience as a General Foreman or in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry.
- Full driving license.
- Ability to gain baseline security clearance (BPSS).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Benefits:
- Competitive pay rate of £300 per day, depending on experience.
- Ongoing long-term contract.
