About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Dundee City Council's Construction Services team as a skilled Carpenter and Joiner. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of Carpentry and Joinery work across a range of domestic and non-domestic properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance, repairs, refurbishment, and newbuild/installations to the highest standard, ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety legislation and company safe systems of work.
- Work on a variety of projects, including domestic and non-domestic properties, to deliver a high-quality and cost-effective service to meet customer and service expectations.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of construction projects, working closely with other trades and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Time served apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in Carpentry and Joinery.
- Proven experience in all aspects of the trade, including first fix, second fix, and final fix.
- Ability to self-diagnose repairs and requisition materials as needed.
- Knowledge of other trades and ability to co-ordinate works.
- Understanding of Health and Safety Regulations and ability to work safely at heights and in confined spaces.
- Current driving license.
