Maintenance Electrician

We are currently seeking a motivated Maintenance Electrician to join our team. Working alongside our maintenance and operations teams, you will enjoy problem-solving and identifying the root cause of electrical defects and breakdowns, offering solutions to problematic equipment, aiming to resolve problems in a time-efficient and safe manner.

• You will be responsible for implementing a preventative maintenance system and carrying out planned maintenance activities to ensure that our quarry and asphalt plant operate safely and reliably.
• Play a key 'hands-on' role in the planning and implementation of plant improvements.
• Have the ability to quickly fault-find, respond to any unplanned plant shutdowns, and work closely with other team members and contractors as required.

• Experience in a similar role within the construction materials industry.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, hands-on approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Commitment to safety, health, and environmental standards.
• A qualification or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering.
• Knowledge and experience of a heavy industrial environment.
• PLC and VSD Experience (desirable).
• Good working knowledge of electrical LV isolation.
• 18th Edition Wiring regulation BS7671 Certification.
• Good understanding of Electrical maintenance methods & techniques.
• Knowledge & experience of medium/high voltage networks including switching methods.
• A working knowledge of BS7671 inspection & testing - qualifications in this area would be desirable.
• A sound working knowledge of Health, Safety & Environment regulations.
• Computer literate.
• A full UK Driving Licence.
