NHS Registered General Nurse

As a skilled and compassionate Registered General Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in our busy Emergency Department. Your primary responsibility will be to assess the nursing needs of adults, children, and young people, taking into account their medical, social, cultural, and family circumstances.
You will work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to effectively prioritize patient care and manage the flow of patients through the department. Your ability to respond to emergency situations and provide support to patients and their families will be essential in ensuring their safety and well-being.
Key Duties- Perform comprehensive assessments of patient nursing needs, plan, implement, and evaluate care according to changing healthcare needs.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure that patient needs are met.
- Involve patients, relatives, and carers in the delivery of care, providing reassurance and support to assist their understanding and cooperation.
- Prepare the clinical area for safe practice by ensuring cleanliness, materials, and equipment are ready for use.
- Provide escort and transfer for patients as directed by the multidisciplinary team.
- Recognize and respond appropriately to urgent and emergency situations.
- Collect, collate, and report information, maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.
- Ensure patient safety and well-being are paramount at all times.
We are seeking a qualified Registered General Nurse with current NMC registration. A Paediatric Nurse qualification is desirable. Essential skills and knowledge include the ability to work in a busy, demanding area, work as a multifunctional team member, and have experience working in a fast-paced environment.
