About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team in West Lancashire, Skelmersdale. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality plumbing services to our social housing tenants, ensuring their homes are safe, functional, and comfortable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform plumbing work related to the construction and repair of social housing units
  • Perform routine and emergency plumbing repairs and maintenance for social housing properties
  • Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot plumbing issues
  • Install, repair, and replace plumbing fixtures, including faucets, toilets, sinks, and pipes
  • Ensure all work meets building codes, safety standards, and project specifications
  • Collaborate with other construction professionals and tradespeople to complete projects efficiently
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Provide excellent customer service to tenants and stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a plumber, preferably in a social housing context
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing techniques, tools, materials, and safety standards
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
  • Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Must have a certification or diploma in plumbing
  • Experience working in social housing or a similar environment
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations
