Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to and implement the company's quality, health, safety, and welfare policies
  • Manage purchase orders and coordinate with central accounts regarding payments and deliveries
  • Oversee the delivery of parts and materials between various sites
  • Process and pick orders while replenishing stock in the general stores and engineering shop
  • Arrange deliveries and returns as necessary
  • Communicate with colleagues and suppliers via phone and email to ensure timely availability of required parts for production
  • Assist in stocktaking of parts, in-house fabricated components, and raw materials
  • Conduct general procurement, including researching, sourcing, and ordering parts at optimal value
  • Operate the company vehicle for inter-site transportation or supplier visits
  • Verify delivery quantities and sign for received items
  • Distribute stock to designated production areas
  • Monitor stock levels and report any shortages to management.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a complex stores environment within the automotive production sector
  • Strong understanding of automotive components and technology, with the ability to learn about the specific parts involved in the product range
  • Proven experience working collaboratively in a quality-focused environment
  • Proficient IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Office applications such as Outlook and Excel
  • Possession of a full, clean driving license

Preferred Experience:

  • Background in low-volume assembly production lines for custom vehicles
  • Familiarity with DMS-type company/stock/supplier management software
  • Forklift truck license (training available if needed)
  • Interest or experience in classic cars, engineering, and mechanics, along with enthusiasm for specialized or performance vehicles
