IT Support Specialist Job Description

We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team at Reed Technology. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our internal staff, ensuring that our IT systems are running smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first and second-line technical support to internal staff, resolving issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with our third-party IT Managed Service Provider to escalate complex issues and ensure timely resolutions.
  • Participate in upgrade projects and hardware/software rollouts, both within our head office and at our organisational sites across Scotland.
  • Coordinate technical training sessions to upskill employees and improve our IT offering.
  • Identify opportunities to improve our IT systems and provide input on technology innovations that can benefit our organisation.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in IT support, with a strong understanding of software and hardware technologies.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
