Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Commercial Ladieswear Jersey & Woven Designer to join our team at TRP Recruitment. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating seasonal mood and trend boards, designing capsule collections, and researching new design ideas and fabrics.
Main Responsibilities:
- Create seasonal mood and trend boards with the design team.
- Design seasonal capsule collections, including key shapes, color palettes, and fabric direction.
- Research and source new design ideas and fabrics/trims on a daily basis.
- Design and develop commercial and fashion-forward product for ranges and clients.
- Attend fabric fairs and inspirational shopping trips.
- Attend regular design meetings with sales managers and customer buying/design teams.
Requirements:
- Essential experience in jersey and woven design.
- Proven track record of designing for young to mid-market ladies fashion.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Commercially savvy with excellent on-trend knowledge.
- Confidence when attending customer meetings.
- Fully computer literate, including proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator.
