We are seeking a passionate and experienced SEND Teacher to join our team at Opogo. As a SEND Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement tailored lesson plans to meet the unique needs of students with SEND.
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants and other support staff to create an inclusive classroom environment.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching strategies to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Engage with parents and caregivers to provide regular updates on student progress and involve them in the educational process.
  • Liaise with external agencies and professionals to support student development and well-being.
  • Promote positive behavior and emotional well-being among students.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching children or young people with SEND.
  • Strong knowledge of SEND practices and inclusive education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
