Job Overview

Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor

Role Summary

In the capacity of a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing operational efficiencies, managing financial expenditures, and optimizing regional performance for our clientele. This position entails overseeing all fiscal elements of the project, ensuring that all commercial and contractual issues are addressed effectively. Your expertise will be crucial in achieving the targeted profit margins while maintaining a high level of commercial insight. You will also be responsible for identifying, documenting, and monitoring both risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.

Core Responsibilities

We are seeking an individual who can:

  • Oversee contract performance, including weekly profit and loss reporting.
  • Examine contract documentation and resolve any potential issues.
  • Manage progress and cash flow forecasting effectively.
  • Handle commercial forecasts, Cost Value Reconciliation (CVRs), and Project Finance Reports.
  • Take charge of Subcontractor Management, including forecasting, issuing Subcontractor Orders, and negotiating terms.
  • Prepare and assess subcontract documents and quotations.
  • Supervise subcontract orders, agreements, and certification of valuations, including invoicing and final account settlements.
  • Manage the change control process, along with risk and value management.
  • Track project modifications, variations, and notifications.
  • Evaluate and quantify variations and compensation events.
  • Prepare and submit interim valuations and payment requests to clients, ensuring final accounts are agreed upon.
  • Participate in risk assessments, progress updates, and commercial discussions on-site with clients.
  • Engage actively in tendering and pricing processes.
  • Oversee credit control, focusing on cash recovery and forecasting.
  • Support the operational team in various commercial and contractual matters.
