Job Opportunity: Science Technician

The St Leonards Academy is seeking a skilled Science Technician to join our team on a fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. As a Science Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting the Science curriculum and ensuring the smooth operation of our Science department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the use of practical resources and facilities
  • Provide technical support, assistance, and advice regarding the practical needs of the Science curriculum
  • Take responsibility for health and safety within the Science faculty
  • Maintain good order of the Science department and its resources

Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate with a good general education and an understanding of the learning and support needs of young people. An understanding of health and safety and COSHH relating to Science would be beneficial.
