Brackenberry Ltd is collaborating with a Local Authority to recruit a Review Officer - Housing for a 3-month contract, with a strong possibility of extension based on client needs. Interested candidates are encouraged to submit their CV for consideration.

Compensation: £30.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Minimize legal expenses related to potential or ongoing court actions.
  • Prepare and present performance reports regarding decision reviews and court cases to the Head of Service and relevant members.
  • Facilitate and participate in meetings and case conferences with both internal teams and external agencies/local authorities regarding departmental matters.
  • Manage complex correspondence and sensitive issues, including inquiries from Members and MPs, as well as complaints.
  • Identify discrepancies in the Allocations Scheme during the annual review, as well as in homelessness and accommodation procedures arising from appeals, to mitigate the risk of court actions against the council.
  • Gather medical documentation from GPs and consultants, and obtain recommendations from in-house medical advisors, the Mental Health Assessment Panel, or independent consultants for review investigations.

Qualifications:

  • Strong educational background.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

Additional Information:

  • Immediate availability or short notice is required.
  • Right to work in the U.K. is essential.
