Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Clinical Practitioner to become a vital member of our healthcare team. The primary focus of this role is to collaborate with the clinical staff to deliver exceptional patient care. The Senior Clinical Practitioner will leverage advanced expertise and skills to independently manage patient healthcare needs. Responsibilities will encompass telephonic assessments, in-person consultations, and visits to care facilities and patients' homes.

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a valid prescriber qualification and demonstrate excellent communication abilities, both verbal and non-verbal.

The remuneration for this role aligns with Band 7 standards.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Clinical Practitioner will be expected to operate independently in the following areas:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments, clinical evaluations, and diagnoses while utilizing advanced clinical skills and sound clinical judgment to treat, prescribe, and refer patients as necessary.
  • Engage proactively in clinical decision-making, supported by a robust foundation of theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
  • Participate in the Duty GP rota as dictated by the needs of the practice and the clinical responsibilities.
  • Uphold a high standard of patient-centered care in accordance with established practice guidelines and policies.
  • Facilitate effective collaboration within the clinical team to ensure high-quality service delivery to patients and coordinate with external agencies.
  • Apply professional judgment in managing complex and unpredictable healthcare scenarios, while capturing insights to enhance patient care and service delivery.
  • Candidates should either currently serve as a Band 7 Senior Clinical Practitioner or possess the necessary qualifications, with a background in nursing or paramedicine, and must be a Level 7 Independent Prescriber.

Candidate Profile

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a paramedic.
  • At least 1 year of nursing experience.

Educational Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

  • Current registration with NMC or HCPC.
  • Postgraduate certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Irmer certification.
  • Master’s degree.
