Band 6 Physiotherapist FTC Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our team within the outpatient physiotherapy service at Southend Hospital on a 12-month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.
Main Duties of the JobThe successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including acute and chronic conditions. The role will involve working with a multidisciplinary team, including general practitioners, orthopaedics, rheumatology, and A&E.
The Physiotherapist will have the opportunity to gain experience in various areas, including general MSK, hydrotherapy, fracture clinic, rheumatology, hand therapy, and classes, including lower limb rehabilitation and Escape Pain.

Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will be a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, and hold a Degree in physiotherapy. The candidate will have previous MSK experience as a junior or senior, working knowledge of a broad range of patient conditions, and experience of audit and research.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work under pressure, and have evidence of presentation skills. The role requires the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to ongoing CPD and personal development.
