We are seeking a highly skilled Underwriting Assistant to join our team at Instant Underwriting. As an Underwriting Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing underwriting support to our team, working closely with agents and brokers to deliver exceptional customer service and build strong relationships.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the underwriting and processing of new and renewal policies for small to medium-sized businesses
- Review applications, gather information, and assess risks to determine insurability and pricing of policies
- Collaborate with Underwriters to make underwriting decisions and determine appropriate coverage and pricing for policies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of policies and underwriting decisions
- At least 2-3 years of experience in SME (Property & Casualty) insurance / underwriting for small to medium-sized businesses
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs
- Knowledge of insurance industry regulations and trends
- 100% Remote work arrangement
- ~28 days per annum annual leave (inc Public Holidays)
- ~ Learning & Training budget (In-house training, CII, CPD)
