Senior Veterinary Surgeon Position

MVR Locums is thrilled to present a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Vet Surgeon to take charge and guide the veterinary team at a reputable small animal clinic.

  • This is a full-time, permanent role requiring 40 hours of work spread over 4 days each week, including a Saturday morning shift on a rotational basis, with no out-of-hours duties.
  • The practice is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including Bio-Chemistry and Haematology Idexx machines, digital radiography, ultrasound technology, dental equipment, and multiparameter monitors.
  • The position involves serving as the Clinical Lead, engaging with clients, conducting surgical procedures, and overseeing, managing, and mentoring the veterinary staff.
  • This role is ideal for an established Head Vet seeking a new challenge or a seasoned Vet aspiring to advance their career.
  • Strong clinical experience is essential, along with the capability to lead, mentor, and manage a clinical team effectively.
  • Specific interests in veterinary medicine will be actively encouraged and supported.

Qualifications
  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine or an equivalent qualification
  • Registered with the RCVS
  • Proven experience in veterinary medicine with solid medical and surgical skills
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and manage a clinical team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
