We are seeking a skilled Electrical Installation Technician to join our team as an Electrical Field Service Specialist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, testing, and commissioning Variable Speed Drives and Control panels on sites throughout the South East.
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will carry out routine service work on all makes of Variable Speed Drives and Soft Starts, including installation and refitting of new for old. Responsive breakdown callouts are also required from engineers on a rota basis. You will assist with the Hire business regarding installations and commissioning on site and ongoing operation of installed equipment.
Your Key Responsibilities- Service Existing Customers Drives
- Assist in Small Installations of MCC's, New for Old Variable Speed Drives and Soft Starters
- Attend Breakdowns at Customer Sites for Reactive Maintenance
- Support the Sales Team
Key qualifications include a minimum of C & G Part 1, 2 & 3, HNC/ONC in electrical/electronic engineering. Additionally, you should hold a current JIB Skills Card or CCSC, Safety Passport, and have a good working knowledge of LV, single and 3 phase systems. Direct online starting and Start Delta Starting knowledge is essential. PC knowledge is preferred as software programmes are used on certain products for commissioning. Working knowledge of PLC, Soft Start & Variable Speed Drives, Instrumentation and 4-20mA Control would be an advantage; however, training will be provided.
