Accounts Payable Clerk

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Assistant to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. As an Accounts Payable Assistant, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the AP function, including reconciliations, invoice processing, payments, and handling queries.
Key Responsibilities:- Accounts Payable Invoice Processing: Utilize Sage 200 to process and manage accounts payable invoices.
- Purchase Ledger Management: Process purchase ledger timesheets and sub-contract certificates.
- Weekly Timesheet Processing: Manage and process weekly timesheets.
- Supplier Account Reconciliations: Reconcile supplier accounts on a regular basis.
- Liaising with Suppliers: Communicate with sub-contractors and suppliers to resolve queries and issues.
- Payment Runs and Query Resolution: Conduct payment runs and investigate payment queries.
- First Point of Contact: Serve as the primary point of contact for supplier and stakeholder queries.
- Ad-Hoc Duties: Perform other tasks as required by the team.
- Accounts Payable Experience: Previous experience working in an accounts payable role.
- Reconciliation and Invoice Processing: Prior experience with reconciliations, invoice processing, payments, and query handling.
- Construction Industry Knowledge: A background in the construction industry is highly desirable.
- Sage 200 Experience: Experience using Sage 200 is advantageous.
- CIS and Reverse VAT Knowledge: Knowledge of CIS and reverse VAT is highly desirable.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- IT Proficiency: Strong understanding of MS Excel and other IT systems.
- Team Player: Collaborative team player with a willingness to get stuck in.
