Commercial Finance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Finance Manager to join our team at JSS Search Limited. As a key member of our finance operations, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our financial management, driving strategic insights, and leading a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop 1-2 management accountants, fostering a collaborative work environment and overseeing performance evaluations and recruitment efforts.
  • Financial Analysis: Effectively delegate tasks and responsibilities, ensuring your team operates efficiently while delivering accurate and timely financial information, including monthly analyses of results versus budgets and participation in commercial meetings.
  • Financial Planning: Assist the Managing Director in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, providing insights into performance and cost optimization opportunities.
  • Financial Reporting: Deliver monthly insights and analysis on the P&L, including detailed margin and payroll analysis, and communicate results to key stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement: Oversee month-end reporting processes, ensuring robust financial information and best practice accounting, and identify and implement process improvements to enhance finance operations.
  • Compliance: Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounts through preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations and take full ownership of ledgers.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the Group Financial Controller on audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards, and assist in preparing and filing VAT returns and supporting various Treasury projects related to liquidity and foreign exchange strategy.
Your Profile:
  • Qualifications: Qualified accountant (ACMA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Finance Manager or similar role, with strong financial operations management
  • Skills: Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, strong team management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder interaction, and advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Personal Qualities: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a creative, self-motivated approach to thrive in a dynamic environment
