Automotive Service Technician - Motherwell

Working Hours: Mon-Fri

Salary: Up to £43k + bonus + overtime + £2000 joining bonus

We are looking for a proficient and experienced Automotive Service Technician to join our client's main dealership in Motherwell. The successful candidate will be tasked with diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse range of vehicle makes and models.

This role necessitates a comprehensive understanding of automotive systems along with the capability to utilize diagnostic tools and software to pinpoint and resolve intricate issues.

The ideal applicant will possess a genuine enthusiasm for automobiles and a dedication to delivering superior quality work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and rectify vehicle malfunctions, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical problems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Employ diagnostic tools and software to uncover and address complex issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed and parts utilized.
  • Engage with customers regarding vehicle concerns and repair suggestions.
  • Ensure a clean and organized workspace.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in automotive technology and repair methodologies.

Qualifications:
You should have relevant experience as an automotive technician and/or a current qualification in the field. An MOT qualification would be a significant advantage. You will take great pride in your work, possess exceptional attention to detail, and have the ability to notice aspects that others may overlook. A full valid UK driving license and a well-equipped toolbox for work are essential.
