Electrical Engineering Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering leader to join our team at First Recruitment Group. As a Principal Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical and organisational leadership across a wide range of projects, including studies, design, troubleshooting, commissioning, and decommissioning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead electrical engineering activities for various projects and studies.
  • Competently engineer electrical systems following procedures and plans.
  • Supervise design teams to ensure technical standards and project timelines are met.
  • Conduct short-term visits to operational sites and global and regional offices.
  • Manage discipline interfaces, coordinate teams, and expedite project workflows.
  • Prepare man-hour estimates and project planning for proposals.
  • Critically review and improve business technical standards and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with new legislation affecting plant design and safety.
Requirements:
  • Extensive leadership experience in electrical engineering, preferably in upstream Oil & Gas.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Expertise in electrical engineering (Power Generation, Distribution, Transmission).
  • Experience in Concept, Basic/FEED, and Detail Engineering for Oil & Gas (onshore/offshore).
  • Skilled in power system studies, electrical design, and technical specifications.
  • Proficiency in IEC standards, best practices, and ETAP software.
  • Experience with Floating Units and offshore work certifications are desirable.
  • Chartered Engineer status and MEng qualification preferred.
