Quantity Surveyor Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our team at MCR Property Group. As a key member of our commercial team, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial delivery of our projects, procuring and delivering them within budget and to programme.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advise on the selection of sub-contractors for package works
  • Prepare rolling cost-to-complete forecasts throughout the project
  • Complete final account administration and manage retention release close-out
  • Internal reporting, cost-to-complete, cashflows, project reports, and monthly project reviews
  • Establish and develop productive working relationships with stakeholders, including the supply chain and design team
  • Monitor cost control and implement cost mitigation strategies, assessing risk and acting fairly and reasonably
  • Contribute data to assist with the production of a monthly commercial report, describing the position and plan for management of risk, opportunity, cost, and value
  • Agree settlement of final accounts with supply chain packages
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor on a range of projects and values
  • Wide knowledge of construction industry processes and procedures
  • Technical knowledge of building materials, techniques, and systems
  • Knowledge of Design Build contract desirable, knowledge of construction essential
  • Ability to tender and procure, seeking value engineering opportunities and negotiate best value
  • Knowledge of JCT Contract and compile robust SC Trade Orders
  • Ability to value and commercially manage SC Trade applications
  • Full clean driving license
