We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Development Manager to join our team at The Open Door Centre Ltd. This is an exciting opportunity to lead on developing key partnerships and collaborations to ensure adults with learning disabilities can access and shape the services they require.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and deliver a Strategic Business Plan in collaboration with the trustees, staff, volunteers, and members.
- Act as the lead relationship manager with partners on behalf of The Open Door Centre, fostering strong relationships and driving business growth.
- Diversify fundraising streams, including grants, corporate sponsorship, and community fundraising, to support the organization's strategic aims.
- Explore and develop joint grant bids with external partners, aligning with the organization's strategic objectives.
- Develop and maintain key systems and processes, including effective funder reporting and review meetings, and monitoring and reporting on fundraising KPIs.
- Proven experience in third sector fundraising, including corporate fundraising, funder reporting, and grants.
- A proactive approach to engaging with new and existing funders to establish lasting relationships.
- Ability to prepare high-quality funding proposals and reports, adapting communication style for different audiences and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to gather information and enthuse individuals internally and externally.
- Effective time management and organizational skills, with a firm understanding of KPIs, targets, budgeting, and risk mitigation plans.
- Proactive, positive, and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and inspire others to achieve results.
- IT literacy, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, the internet, and social media.

We are a hybrid role, with some time spent in the Centre in Gorse Hill, Swindon, some remote work, and attendance at meetings and events in the Swindon area. The post is funded for a period of three years, and successful applicants will need to provide proof that they have the right to work in the UK and provide two references.
