Senior Audit Professional

TPF Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Audit Assistant Manager to lead their audit team, reporting directly to a Partner at the practice. As an integral part of the firm, you will oversee audit engagements, drive process improvements, and contribute to the strategic vision of the practice.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and Manage Audit Engagements
- Oversee audit engagements for a variety of clients across different industries, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and professional standards.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor on audit matters and providing valuable insights to enhance their business operations.
- Coordinate Audit Planning and Execution
- Coordinate audit planning, execution, and reporting processes, including risk assessment, materiality determination, and audit testing.
- Review and evaluate audit work papers, financial statements, and related disclosures to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable standards.
- Mentor and Coach Audit Team Members
- Mentor and coach audit team members, providing guidance on technical matters, professional development, and performance improvement.
- Drive Continuous Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the audit function, implementing best practices, tools, and technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Contribute to Firm-Wide Policies
- Contribute to the development of firm-wide policies, procedures, and methodologies to support their modernisation and transformation goals.
- Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments
- Stay abreast of regulatory changes, emerging trends, and industry developments relevant to auditing and accounting standards.
- Qualifications
- ACA / ACCA qualified
- Experience
- Proven experience in external auditing within a public accounting firm, with a focus on managing audit engagements and client relationships.
- Skills
- Strong technical knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate and develop team members, drive results, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with data analytics tools is a plus.
