We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cost Estimator to join our team at Build Space Group Ltd. As a key member of our Commercial Fit-out team, you will play a crucial role in determining the project's cost, ensuring that bids are competitive and financially viable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive project budgets based on estimates and provide cost information to project managers and clients.
- Prepare and submit competitive bids and tenders for fitout projects, taking into account market trends and client requirements.
- Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best possible deals, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Identify potential risks and uncertainties associated with project costs and timelines, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Suggest alternative materials or methods that can achieve cost savings, while maintaining the quality and integrity of the project.
- Monitor project costs against estimates and budgets, identifying any variances and taking corrective action as necessary.
- Maintain comprehensive records of estimates, tender submissions, and correspondence with suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is available to the project team.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior Cost Estimator in the Commercial Fit-out industry.
- Strong knowledge of cost estimation techniques and methods, including market analysis and trend forecasting.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, suppliers, and project teams.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
