Technical Fire Engineer

Lignum is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Fire Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our technical services group, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on passive fire protection systems, specifically cavity barriers within building facades.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to internal teams and external stakeholders on passive fire protection cavity barriers and firestops, with a focus on building envelope.
  • Collaborate with project management teams to address technical queries and provide solutions aligned to project requirements and product specifications.
  • Analyze technical specifications, drawings, and project plans to advise on best product selection, standards, and regulations.
  • Record technical enquiries and responses in our CRM system.
  • Stay current with industry standards and regulations related to passive fire protection of the building envelope and integrate this knowledge into technical support activities.
  • Undertake complex product enquiries to a level of EE/EJ.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a technical, construction, or building service role, preferably in passive fire protection.
  • Experience in technical writing, including the creation of technical reports.
  • Experience in working in the construction industry.
  • Degree in a construction-related field or similar.
