Key Responsibilities- Play a pivotal role in the assembly and fabrication of large x-ray tubes, ensuring high-quality production.
- Operate and maintain the clean room welding plant, adhering to strict safety protocols and quality standards.
- Recruit, assess, and train welders within the tube assembly department, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including compressed gas handling, COSH, and HSE standards.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing engineer to drive process improvements, reducing assembly times while maintaining quality and output.
- Proven experience in clean-room environments, with a strong background in UHV technology and TIG welding processes.
- Ability to coach TIG welding trainees to an appropriate level, supporting tube production and ensuring high-quality results.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including compressed gas handling and UHV leak checking.
- Experience with 5S and process improvement methodologies is an advantage.
