Role Overview

The role will operate from our site in Coleshill, Birmingham, which houses the central UK teams for Project Engineering, Health & Safety, Logistics, Bulk Maintenance, and Technical Support. You will play a central role in establishing new procedures and controls for the management of technical documentation for industrial plants and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct an inventory of current technical documentation available by site, ownership, and location.
  2. Coordinate a technical review of documentation against the as-is installed state identifying deviations.
  3. Audit a sample of sites and functions with regard to documentation availability and documentation management.
  4. Produce standards detailing the requirements for technical documentation for each site.
  5. Complete a gap analysis of industrial sites related to technical documentation.
  6. Develop agreed plans to address gaps.
  7. Assess the requirements of different users and availability of documentation.
  8. Propose and develop solutions to ensure necessary documentation is available to users in a controlled manner and meeting user requirements.
Requirements
  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Process Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Effective communication skills to understand other needs.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrable ability to cooperate with others with effective interpersonal skills.
  • IT skills - G-Suite Applications (Google Sheets, Docs, Slides).
  • Structured way of working while being able to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
