### Job Title: Senior Fundraising Officer

### Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fundraising Officer to join our team at Havens Hospices. As a key member of our Community Engagement Team, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing our fundraising strategy, working closely with colleagues and external partners to maximize fundraising opportunities.

### Key Responsibilities

* Contribute to the creation and implementation of our Community Engagement Team strategy, ensuring effective collaboration and cross-functional working.
* Demonstrate exceptional fundraising techniques and professional behavior, serving as a role model for the team and inspiring others to achieve their fundraising goals.
* Plan and deliver designated events, personally carrying out event work to ensure activity progresses according to agreed plans.
* Build, encourage, support, and nurture individual, group, and community fundraisers to maximize opportunities and encourage repeat and ongoing participation in fundraising activities.
* Provide supporters with the information and advice needed to organize their own fundraising events and activities for Havens Hospices.
* Target local community organizations, groups, clubs, schools, and local small businesses to give compelling talks and presentations, inspiring financial support and awareness of Havens Hospices.
* Raise money from community fundraising events in line with our annual plans and strategy, supporting and facilitating the development of networks of supporters within the community.
* Provide excellent stewardship to individual volunteer fundraisers and promote community fundraising initiatives.
* Support the leadership of the team in the absence of the Community and Engagement Manager.

### Essential Criteria

* Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle.
* Educated to A Level or equivalent experience.
* Computer/IT literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Good communication skills.
* Experience of working within fundraising.
* Experience of delivering talks and presentations.

### Desirable Criteria

* Fundraising qualification.
