We are seeking a highly skilled Category Manager to join our team at Alexander Steele Recruitment. As a Category Manager, you will play a key role in driving customer and category strategies to influence key category levers such as range, merchandising, and pricing and promotions.
Key Responsibilities- Category Strategy Development: Develop and implement category strategies to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.
- Market Insights: Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activity to identify opportunities and risks.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including commercial and brand teams, to ensure insights are at the heart of all decision-making and initiatives.
- Market Analysis: Conduct regular market analysis, including store visits and data analysis, to identify key trends and opportunities.
- Reporting and Auditing: Create reports and perform market audits to assist in category and business growth.
- 4 years of previous experience in a Category Management role within FMCG.
- Excellent data interpretation and analysis skills, with the ability to pull out key insights and actionable recommendations.
- Expert knowledge of market data platforms such as Nielsen and Kantar.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships both internally and externally.
- Ability to present in an engaging manner to a variety of stakeholders.
- Highly proficient user of Excel and PowerPoint to manipulate and present data.
- Ability to multitask and work well both independently and as part of a team.
