Location: Dudley, DY1

Work Schedule: 5 days a week, Monday to Friday, during term time only

Working Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Compensation: £110 - £130 per day

Role Overview: The Inclusion & Isolation Manager will play a crucial role in assisting the school to address the needs of students requiring specialized support to navigate behavioral, emotional, or social challenges, ensuring they can fully engage in a mainstream educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the student behavior and isolation area within the institution, responding directly to behavioral incidents.
  • Welcome and support students placed in the behavior and isolation area.
  • Offer pastoral care and guidance to students, aiding their behavioral, emotional, and social growth.
  • Establish and maintain a calm and productive environment, minimizing disruptions while enforcing school-wide expectations fairly and assertively.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of students to identify those needing specific support and tailor interventions accordingly.
  • Encourage and inspire students in the internal isolation setting, fostering self-esteem and motivation.
  • Provide guidance to students, helping them make informed choices regarding their behavior.
  • Deliver constructive feedback to students in isolation concerning their progress, behavior, and attendance.
  • Identify students who may need adjustments to their curriculum to better manage their behavioral needs.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO regarding students requiring additional behavioral support and having special educational needs.
  • Observe classroom activities and assist teachers in evaluating individual student behavior management needs, advising on strategies to enhance engagement and behavior, including the implementation of Individual Education Plans for Behavior (IEPBs).
  • Work with Heads of Year to develop small group mentoring and one-on-one behavioral support sessions.
