Enable is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Assistant to support Rose, an individual with a learning disability, in achieving her goals and outcomes. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring Rose's safety, wellbeing, and aspirations are met.
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to make a positive difference in someone's life. As a Personal Assistant, you will work collaboratively with our team to provide support with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling, and positive behavioral support. You will also help expand Rose's social networks and connections, enabling her to engage in activities she enjoys.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Rose with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support Rose with moving and handling, ensuring her safety and comfort
- Provide positive behavioral support to help Rose manage challenging behaviors
- Help Rose engage in activities she enjoys, such as going for drives, short walks, and spending time with family
- Collaborate with our team to develop and implement personalized support plans for Rose
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a compassionate and empathetic individual with excellent communication skills. You will also need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meeting the changing needs of Rose.
