As Assystem's Defence division expands, we are seeking a proactive and driven Quantity Surveyor.
Role Details:
Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Flexible working from local Glasgow or Renfrew office two to three days a week.
Hours: 37 hours
Sector: Nuclear and Defence
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer contracts for ongoing agreements, including performing, issuing, or managing tasks as directed by the Commercial Manager.
- Offer commercial guidance to Contract Leads.
- Ensure adherence to contract timelines by coordinating with the project team (management of CEMAR).
- Handle applications for payments.
- Facilitate general communications related to the contract.
- Prepare programme submissions as necessary.
- Manage forecast submissions.
- Oversee change management processes.
- Issue early warnings as required.
- Support bids for new call-off contracts.
- Implement cost control measures.
- Generate reports as needed.
- Assist in weekly and monthly project/contract progress meetings.
- Collaborate with Client CEMAR Superuser for all access, delegation, and user inquiries.
- Engage with the Client commercial team for any queries and insights from previous experiences.
Project Interfaces:
- Collaborate with Contract Leads, Finance, Cost Engineering, and project controls functions as necessary.
- Engage with Client Commercial and Project Managers as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Extensive experience in NEC contract administration, preferably with NEC4 Professional Service Contracts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level or higher.
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying is preferred.
- Able to prioritize and manage multiple competing tasks effectively.
- Committed to maintaining high levels of accuracy and compliance with contracts.
- Prior experience with CEMAR is advantageous.
Additional Information:
Security clearance will be required for this position.
