About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at Activate Learning. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with a range of severe, complex, and moderate learning difficulties and/or disabilities and/or behavioural needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist students in their classroom-based lessons and support self-directed study times with the student on a 1:1 basis.
  • Support students with Autism and associated difficulties, some of which are complex.
  • Provide support to students with a range of severe, complex, and moderate learning difficulties and/or disabilities and/or behavioural needs.
  • Work collaboratively with tutors to ensure the delivery of an effective programme of further education.
  • Contribute to the development of life skills, independence, and employability in students.
Requirements
  • E-Literate and competent in IT packages e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher.
  • A creative approach to motivating learners and an innovative approach to delivering support.
  • Experience of working in an FE environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • A Level 3 Support Assistant qualification or equivalent, but this is not essential.
