Project Controls Manager

As a key member of our Programme Management Office, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our transportation projects. Your primary responsibility will be to identify and mitigate key project risks and constraints, providing critical insights to inform client decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Management: Develop and implement a comprehensive safety strategy, cascading it to all project stakeholders and ensuring the well-being of our team and clients.
  • Client Delivery: Lead the delivery of services to our clients, ensuring timely, safe, and within-budget project completion. You will directly manage client relationships and oversee the work output and quality of other Project Controls Specialists.
  • Process Optimisation: Analyze and improve project controls processes, leveraging digital solutions and clear reporting cadences to enhance project delivery.
  • Technical Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of project controls professions, managing experts and integrating systems such as Primavera and BIM.
  • Strategic Support: Collaborate with the PMO Director to contribute to business plan development, aligning with overall business targets.
  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of project controls staff, providing guidance, support, and performance management to ensure their success.
  • Work Winning: Act as bid lead or support for transportation tenders, ensuring Egis' Tender Unit has sufficient project controls expertise.
  • Utilisation: Ensure you and your team are fully utilised to agreed targets, maximising project delivery efficiency.
  • Finance/Business Management: Accountable for managing project costs and team budgets, participating in periodic reviews as required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in infrastructure project delivery.
  • Background in project controls, planning, risk management, reporting, or information management.
  • Track record of delivering major projects within a consultancy environment.
  • Excellent people management and development skills.
  • Strong business development skills with a history of winning work.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client management abilities.
  • Financial acumen and experience in project budget management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel for project assignments.
